PRINCE'S TRUST ACHIEVE

Prince's Trust Achieve provide a personal development programme for young people. These informal clubs support young people in developing the skills and confidence needed to progress into a positive future.

The Achieve Programme promotes a flexible approach, using relevant, experiential learning to support young people to achieve a range of personal and employability skills and gain qualifications.

Young people work together as a group on practical learning projects, which are designed to boost their confidence, improve self esteem, attainment, behaviour and attendance.

These skills and personal qualities can support the young people to achieve more, both at school, and in the future.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS (PDE)

The Prince’s Trust Achieve Award and Certificate in Personal Development and Employability Skills (PDE) recognises a breadth of personal skills, qualities and attitudes required by employers across a range of sectors.

The qualifications have been developed with the aim of progressing learners into further education and/or employment.

They give learners the opportunity to:

  • Develop their own personal growth and engagement in, and through, learning.

  • Engage in learning to that is relevant to them and support their development of personal skills and attributes that are essential for working life and employment.

  • Prepare themselves for progression into further education programmes, apprenticeships or other work based learning.

  • Develop their English and mathematics skills.

After their two year course the students will achieve either an award or a certificate level which can be points equivalent to two GCSE’s.

For more information on the course you can look up the Prince’s Trust Website, www.princes-trust.org.uk and click on xl club.
